The new official site for Joomla Extensions, the Joomla Extensions Directory (JED) is online. The look has changed to get in line with the other new Joomla sites, but the structure of the new site hasn't changed that much,. This means people who are used to using the JED, will find their way on the new site in no time. In this article I mentioned a few points I didn't like about the old JED and I'm glad to see some of them are or will be a lot better in the new JED. Here are a few major changes:

Let's suppose you're starting to design a new website and you have choosen joomla as your CMS. Then you'll probably ask yourself which version of joomla you should take: 1.0 or 1.5. This is an important question, but at this moment there is no easy answer on this. This article is about some things you should keep in mind before you make your descision.
A lot of people are asking themselves if they should upgrade from joomla 1.0 to joomla 1.5. There's quit some information which can be found on this topic on the official joomla site and forum, but I thought it might be a good idea to gather that information, put it in one article and give my own view on some topics.
