How do I use Ulti Reflection?

How to use UltiReflection without going into your html editor

In your site's Joomla Admin area go to Content > Articles and begin editing an article as normal.  Using the "Insert/edit image" button from above, or the "Image" button at the bottom of the article editor area, insert an image.  Then put your cursor immediately to its left and type the first of the UltiReflection tags:

{reflect}

Then, immediately after the image, type the closing tag:

{/reflect}

Next, highlight your image and click the "Insert/edit image" icon.  From the image url copy everything after "images/", delete the entire image url and click "update".  Your image will disappear from your article - but don't worry!  In it's place you should now paste the portion of it's location url that you have just copied.  You should end up with something like this:

{reflect}foldername/imagename.jpg{/reflect}

No image will reappear in your editor window but, when you apply the changes to your article, your reflected image should be visible on your site.

But let's say the image is too big or small... what do you do?

By default the UltiReflection plugin shows an image at its original size.  Ideally you would use an image editor to create an original image of the perfect size for your site.  However, if you want to use UltiReflection to resize the image you need to adjust the width and height parameters.  To do this simply put your preferred width and height inside the first of the two {reflect} tags.  You should now see something like the following in your editor window.

{reflect width="30" height="70"}foldername/imagename.jpg{/reflect}

Click 'apply' and then refresh the appropriate page on your site to see the results.

Other image parameters

The only other parameters of a reflected image that you can change are the ALT and TITLE parameters.  For those unused to html code, the 'alt' parameter determines what the image is called and the 'title' parameter determines the text that will appear when a mouse hovers over your image.  As before you insert the alt and title parameters inside the first reflect tag (making sure to put them in lower case):

{reflect alt="imagename" title="Look at this wonderful picture!" width="30" height="70"}foldername/imagename.jpg{/reflect}
