 | Ulti Joomla has installed a new forum called Kunena. Kunena is the long expected next generation of one of the most popular Joomla extensions: Fireboard. Fireboard was still running in legacy mode, while Kunena is completely Joomla 1.5 native. Fireboard has caused us quit some problems in the past, so we were prepared for a difficult job to upgrade to the brand new Kunena. However, the upgrade went fully automatic and very smoothly. So hooray for the Fireboard/Kunena developers. Great job guys! |
 | There is a new major release of our most popular Joomla Extension, the Template Chooser. The old version could have a problem in combination with forms. e.g. the checkout procedure of Virtuemart made the template go back to the default template. The reason was that the old Template Chooser module redirected the page to a new template, but the problem was that a redirect could not copy the POST parameters. The new Template Chooser solves this by changing the template in a plugin before the template is loaded. This means that a page redirect is no longer needed and as a result the page will load faster. |
| Ulti Clocks has been updated to the latest version of swfobject.js. This is a piece of javascript used to integrate flash. The previous version gave in some cases a javascript error in Internet Explorer. This has been solved with the new version. It is advicable to upgrade to this new version. |
There is a new release of our Joomla extension to give your images a polaroid effect: Ulti Polaroid version 1.0.4. The new release solves 2 issues:
- The margin on the right of the image was in some cases too big, due to a calculation error.
- There was an alignment problem in Internet Explorer if you use multiple polaroid images and text below these images.
